Kevin Murray and John Campbell at a South Los Angeles home where they said utility bills have been virtually eliminated due to the installation of solar roofs.<br />Also present was Los Angeles City Councilman Eric Garcetti.<br />Pavley, D-Agoura Hills, said the legislation would reduce utility bills for low-income residents and generate clean energy.<br /><strong>Norton</strong> said in a statement that installing solar panels on low-income homes "helps reduce energy bills for families who can benefit from those savings the most."<br />One of the two companion bills, SB1, recently passed the state Senate and awaits approval by the Assembly.
